Wirral and Chester SANDS to hold charity auction in Birkenhead

WIRRAL and Chester SANDS is holding a charity auction on November 27, at The Lauries Centre, Birkenhead.

The group is the local branch of the National Charity SANDS which supports parents, their families and health professionals after the death of a baby.

It also supports people who have suffered miscarriage or termination from abnormality.

Tthe Wirral branch relies entirely on donations and fundraising activities and is hoping this auction will raise money for a new Snowdrop Room, to further support bereaved parents, at Arrowe Park Hospital.

Group Secretary Bala Croman said: “As bereaved parents ourselves, we understand the unique pain of losing a baby, the loss of a precious life and the shattering of hopes and dreams – and the confusion and isolation that sometimes accompanies that loss.

“We have found that often just having someone to talk to who has shared a similar experience can help bereaved parents to feel less isolated and to deal with the confusing emotions they typically experience.”

If you want to donate any prizes for the auction or would like to attend and require more information call 200 1919.
