A “BRILLIANT” nurse has spoken of her year of anguish after she was prosecuted for helping a patient stand up.
Jessimol Patson, 52, of Prenton, was hit with a charge of common assault after a paramedic filled in a form raising concerns.
He objected to the method she used to help 98-year-old dementia sufferer Alice Wilson to her feet.
On Monday magistrates in Wirral took just minutes to find Jessimol not guilty of assault.
On November 25, 2008 Mrs Patson called a GP to County Homes Nursing Home on New Hey Road in Woodchurch, after the resident suffered a spiral fracture of the left arm in a fall.
But when paramedics were called they claimed Mrs Patson had grabbed the elderly lady’s injured arm to get her into a wheelchair.
The detail was reported on their patient referral form which raised a concern with her employers, resulting in her suspension.
