Family of late Moreton councillor Suzanne Moseley say she will be “sadly and deeply missed”

THE family of late Wirral councillor Suzanne Moseley say she will be “sadly and deeply missed”.

The Moreton and Saughall Massie councillor, who was 47, died suddenly on September 17.

Her younger brother David Murphy this week thanked those who had paid tribute to his sister.

He said: “I would like to thank all those who have offered their condolences and warm tributes.

“I would like to add that Suzanne also contributed to the charitable work of Wirral Holistic Care Services in Claughton and supported the RSPB.

“She was an avid cat lover. She will be sadly and deeply missed by all those who knew her.”

Mr Murphy asked for family flowers only and donations to St John’s Hospice and Wirral Holistic Care Services.

Cllr Moseley had been a Conservative councillor for the Moreton West and Saughall Massie ward since 2003, having been re-elected in 2004 and 2009.

She worked as a trainer for HBOS and was the local Conservative group treasurer and spokesperson on environment and sustainable communities.

An inquest into her death has been opened and adjourned by Wirral Coroner Christopher Johnson.

A provisional cause of death following a post mortem was a subdural haematoma – blood on the brain.

Cllr Moseley’s funeral will take place at the centre chapel, Landican on Monday (October 5), starting at 1pm.
