TRIBUTES have been paid to a councillor found dead at her home last week.
Cllr Suzanne Moseley, 47, was found on Thursday morning after colleagues became concerned that she had not been in work.
An inquest into her death was opened by Wirral Coroner Christopher Johnson at Wallasey Town Hall on Friday.
A provisional cause of death following a post mortem was a subdural haematoma – blood on the brain.
Cllr Moseley had been a Conservative councillor for the Moreton West and Saughall Massie ward since 2003, having been re-elected in 2004 and 2009.
She worked as a trainer for HBOS and was the local Conservative group treasurer and spokesperson on environment and sustainable communities.
Moreton and Saughall Massie councillor Simon Mountney said: “I am struggling to come to terms with the untimely death of my colleague Suzanne Moseley.
“I counted Suzanne as my friend. Indeed I had the privilege of a long discussion with Suzanne only a couple of days before she died and as ever she was her helpful and constructive self and certainly on top of her game.
“I will miss her. The council chamber at Wallasey will be a poorer place for the passing of Suzanne.”
