Eddie Izzard runs across Merseyside in Sport Relief 1000 mile challenge
EDDIE IZZARD jogged through Wirral last week as part of his mammoth challenge to run more than 1,000 miles around the country.
The comedian, 47, is running 30 miles a day for Sport Relief.
He ran from Wrexham to Bromborough, through Chester and across Wirral. After an overnight stop he continued in Birkenhead, commandeering a fishing boat over the Mersey to Liverpool then up past Aintree and Ormskirk.
“I’m just meeting people on the way, so it’s really nice,” he said.
