Nominations sought for ninth Wirral Tourism AWards for Excellence

NOMINATIONS are being sought for the ninth Wirral Tourism Awards for Excellence.

Employers, colleagues and members of the public can nominate anyone working in tourism businesses in Wirral who displays excellent customer care.

There are 11 categories this year, including Most Welcoming Receptionist, Team of the Year, Family Friendly Assistant, The Tourism/ Heritage Volunteer of the Year and course Chef of the Year – voted for by Wirral News readers through our Wirral Chefs Shine competition.

There are two new categories: Most Supportive Supervisor/Manager and Most Outstanding Young Person of The Year.

The awards are organised by the Wirral Tourism Business Network in association with Wirral Council and The Mersey Partnership.

Nomination forms are available in libraries across Wirral, at tourist attractions and hotels.

Nominations close on September 4 and should be returned to Chris Higgins, Wirral Council, Corporate Services, Wallasey Town Hall, Brighton Street Wallasey CH44 8ED.

This year’s event will be on November 4.
