Wirral council and Mersey Docks and Harbour company look to dispose of historic lifeboat station

Wirral Council’s cabinet member for corporate services, Cllr Simon Holbrook, said: “We are determined to make sure that the old lifeboat station site is not left abandoned.

“We are therefore working closely with the owner of the building, MDHC, to find an appropriate new use for the whole site.”

Mersey Docks chief estates surveyor Andy Martin said: “The RNLI is relocating its operations to a new lifeboat station on the seaward side of North Parade. This will free up the existing site, which we jointly own with Wirral Borough Council.

“We are now working with the Council to dispose of the site.”
