MUSIC lovers will be flocking to Glastonbury this weekend, and now the Wirral-based Energy Saving Trusts have produced a guide to festival eco-chic, so you can save the planet one gig at a time...
l Use public transport: Reduce pollution and beat the queues at the car park, check out the festival website and their travel section – they should have a list of travel options for you.
l Car share: If you don't fancy the train or coach you can always contact others travelling to the festival on the car-sharing website www.liftshare.com.
l Solar mobile charger: Finding your friends can be a nightmare, make sure your phone is always charged with a solar charger.
l Eco tents and bedding – you can now buy tents that have been made from sustainable or recycled materials – like Tipi’s
l Degradable waterproofs – Just in case it rains – make the most of the festival even when its raining with a planet friendly waterproof www.eco-trade.co.uk.
l Recycled Wellies – You can now buy wellies made from old ones – check out Dunlop www.dunlopboots.com
l Reuse your tents and bedding – before you go home make sure you pack up your tent for next time, it will be much cheaper than buying a new one – a good tent can last for years.
