A MOTORCYCLIST became the fastest woman around the Isle of Man TT circuit on her first attempt.
Jenny Tinmouth, 31, from Ellesmere Port, now holds the female solo rider’s record for lapping the legendary island course.
She broke the 100mph barrier as she clocked an average of 116.483 mph on her sorrymate.com Honda Fireblade.
The previous record holder, Maria Costello, averaged 114.73mph on a 750cc bike in 2004.
Jenny, who runs the Two-Wheel Workshop in Westminster Industrial Park, said: “It was amazing.
“The TT is a really special race.
“I feel that I am still learning the circuit, so I can do even better.”
