The report by MEAS included comments received during the consultation, including a response from Wirral Council which said: “Carr Lane Brickworks is not suitable.”
Other comments from residents complained it was too close to residential properties.
A spokeswoman for MEAS said the report “identified the key issues arising from public consultation”. She said: “It is not the Preferred Options Report and does not contain definitive information regarding sites or other waste issues.
“As part of the ongoing plan preparation process, potential sites are still being assessed for suitability.
“ Therefore, information is subject to change.
“The next opportunity for dialogue with residents and other stakeholders will be once the Preferred Options Report is published for consultation in September this year.
“The Preferred Options Report will need to be approved by all six councils prior to being published for public consultation. Up until this point, it is premature to discuss sites further.”
