A WIRRAL school has been shortlisted for the coveted National Secondary School of the Year.
St John Plessington in Bebington is one of seven across the country which have been shortlisted for the award from the Times Educational Supplement.
It is the only one to be named in two categories, the ‘green’ sustainable school award as well as school of the year.
Delighted head teacher Tom Quinn said: “Making the shortlist twice is a great honour for the college and a wonderful tribute to the work of all members of the college community.”
The national winner will be announced at a glitzy gala presentation in London in June.
