Daywalker make the finals

WIRRAL band Daywalker are back on the scene and edging closer to a record deal through national music competition Live and Unsigned.

The popular group made it through auditions in Manchester and is now preparing for the national finals of a competition that has attracted the attention of more than 10,000 bands from across the UK already this year.

The next stage will now see Daywalker join the remaining chosen few to deliver a live performance in front of hundreds of audience members and a panel of discerning judges.

All competitors will be asked to perform an original track live, followed by a creative cover version to complete the two-song format.

Organisers say the acts taking part are commended for doing their own thing, being an individual and original, as well as performing their own genre and style live.

The overall winner will earn a recording and management contract with Future Music, as well as £20,000-worth of investment to release a single.

Future Music’s Paul King said: “For the acts involved it is a great opportunity to develop, improve and impress.”

Daywalker will compete in the live show on March 29 at The Willows in Salford.
