WIRRAL artists the Singh Twins are celebrating Hollywood success after winning two awards at an international film and art festival.
Sisters Amrit and Rabindra entered their short animated film, The Making of Liverpool, into the Spinning Wheel Sikh Art and Film festival, where it was seen by industry specialists from around the world.
They won two awards at the three-day event - the Creative Media Award for the film and the Heritage Award for Contribution to the Arts.
The twins said: “It was really exciting, a real Hollywood red carpet affair, and the award for the film was just the icing on the cake. That seal of approval was a big buzz for us, it really meant a lot.”
The Singh Twins have two commissions to work on in 2009, one for the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto and another for the Museum of London.
