TUC want nominations for Scrooge Employer of the Year

NOMINATIONS for this year’s Scrooge Employer of the Year award are being invited by Merseyside TUC, with the aim of naming and shaming the region’s worst bosses.

As the credit crunch bites, organisers are asking the public to inform them about any employer paying poor wages, cutting benefits, making unnecessary redundancies or maintaining bad working conditions.

Anybody can nominate, whether they are affiliated to a trade union or not, and advice can also be given on tackling the problem. The award has been launched by Merseyside TUC, in conjunction with its five local Trade Union Councils, across Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley, Liverpool and St Helens. A panel of four will judge each nomination.
