Extra contraceptive clinic added to Christmas schedule for Wirral

WIRRAL PCT’s Women’s and Sexual Health Services has added an extra contraception clinic to its schedule during the run-up to Christmas.

Dr Katy Kidd, medical director for Wirral PCT, said: “We will be holding all our clinics as normal except for the actual Bank Holidays and they are all drop in. For anyone needing emergency contraception, this is available from the walk-in centres.”

The extra clinic will be held at the Gemini Centre at St Cath’s, in Church Road, Tranmere, Birkenhead, on Tuesday, 23 December, between 9.30am-3pm.

The two NHS walk-in centres in Arrowe Park and Victoria Central Hospital (VCH) in Wallasey are open every day over the Christmas and New Year period. Weekends and Bank Holidays they are open between 9am-10pm and weekdays between 7am-10pm. For further information, call 604 7290.
