Remember a loved one by supporting Light Up A Life appeal in Birkenhead town centre

LIGHTS will be lit in St Werburgh’s Square, Birkenhead, as part of The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation’s Light up a Life appeal.

Supporters can remember their loved ones through the dedication of a light.

All supporters are invited to go along to watch the lights being switched on during a service of celebration and remembrance on Thursday, December 11 at 6.30pm.

Father Hartley, of St Werburgh’s Church will be conducting a remembrance service and the Salvation Army will be leading the singing of Christmas carols.

So far, the foundation has received a good response to the appeal and fundraising manager Jenny Lloyd said: “We have received a good response so far but we’re always looking to raise more money for our important work in defeating lung cancer.

“I would therefore urge anyone to support this appeal by dedicating a light to someone they will miss at Christmas”.
