PRENTON High School delivered a strong message to anyone who thinks that bullying is acceptable behaviour during National Anti-Bullying Week this week.
It was a timely opportunity to launch SHARP – School Help Advice Reporting Page – at Prenton and thanks to the bully-busting team of Year Nine students Sarah Clarke, Vicky Reynolds, Louise Holland and Chloe Holmes, helped by Sgt Simon Fitzpatrick from Merseyside Police – which paid for the system at Prenton and other Wirral schools – there were three assemblies during the week highlighting different types of bullying and how help is available.
SHARP is a web-based system whereby students can report instances of bullying or anti-social behaviour in or out of school and can choose to leave their name, or not, as they wish.
A representative from school checks the reports regularly and promises to respond within 24 hours.
