Claire House to benefit from Christmas festivities at Birkenhead's Grange and Pyramids Shopping Centre

CHARITY will be at the heart of the festivities at the Grange and Pyramids this Christmas with volunteers from Claire House taking charge of Santa’s Grotto every day in the shopping centre.

The grotto, which is located just off Grange Road, had a visit from hospice mascot Claire Bear along with six crew members from nuclear submarine HMS Astute.

Claire House will also benefit from a festive gift wrapping service in the centre, which begins on December 1.

Shoppers will be able to take the stress out of present wrapping while raising funds for the hospice.

Last year the volunteers wrapped presents every day in December and raised more than £2,500 for the charity.
