£7m redevelopment of Kings Gap Hotel in Hoylake wins planning permission

Kings Gap

£7M proposals to redevelop Hoylake’s Kings Gap Hotel have been approved by planners.

The owners say the plans will see the original hotel building provide the centrepiece for a "dramatic new development".

The new-look hotel will have 66 boutique hotel rooms, a brasserie restaurant, library bar and function room catering for 100 people.

Work on the development is due to start early next year.

Adam Hall from Falconer Chester Hall Architects, who is responsible for the new design, said: "My practice is delighted to be involved with the scheme, which has given the opportunity to create an exciting contemporary addition to the Conservation Area around the Kings Gap."
