ROADWORKS will be carried out across the borough this month:
PRENTON: On November 19, Woodchurch Road, near to the junction of Holm Lane. Lane 1 (both east and west bound) will be closed to allow Wirral Council to install new pedestrian facilities. The work will take place between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm and last for approximately 2 days.
FRANKBY: Two-way temporary traffic signals will be place on Frankby Road opposite Manor Farm House from November 19 to November 20. This is to allow maintenance work to gas connections to take place by May Gurney.
BIRKENHEAD: Stop/Go boards will be used on Derby Road, near to Wellington Terrace, between 9:30am and 4:30pm on November 20, to allow cabling installation work to take place.
WALLASEY: Two-way temporary traffic signals will be in use on Dock Road, near the Tate and Lyle site, for two hours on November 20. During this time work will take place to reset water box covers. Two way traffic signals will also be in use on Market Street, near to the junction of Alderley Road, while a manhole cover is reset.
EASTHAM: For two weeks, from November 24, three-way temporary traffic signals will be in use at the junction of Eastham Rake and Brookhurst Avenue. This is to allow renewal work to the gas mains to take place. During this time structural repairs to the flyover will also take place.
Motorists are advised to allow themselves additional journey time.
