THE Birkenhead offices of the Land Registry celebrated 30 years in the town with a visit from MP Frank Field.
The Old Market office, in Hamilton Street, hosted the Land Registry’s annual National Arts and Photographic Competition as part of its Pearl Anniversary celebrations, and the Birkenhead MP presented the awards.
This year also saw a new local category in the competition – The Best of Wirral 2008.
Sue Jones and Alan Griffiths won first prizes in the Best of Wirral category. Birkenhead staff also scooped the awards in the national competition, with Alan Griffiths, Brian Hinton and Roger Ellison winning five out of the eight categories.
Organiser, Cheryl Gibbons, said: “The Land Registry is a major employer in the town, and this is a chance to show just how talented staff are.”
