Mobile police station moved to Birkenhead to target anti-social behaviour

WIRRAL’S community mobile police station has been deployed to Birkenhead to tackle anti-social behaviour.

The unit, a partnership between Wirral Council and Merseyside Police, managed by Wirral Anti-Social Behaviour Team, is in Hoylake Road opposite Gautby Road.

The area, including Bidston Rise, has been identified as a hot spot for anti-social and criminal behaviour and it is hoped the unit will be a central hub for tackling crime and disorder.

Neighbourhood Inspector Paul Harrison said: “This valuable community resource gives us an additional drop-in site within Laird Street neighbourhood.”
