HISTORIC buildings in Parkgate and Neston are opening to the public as part of this year’s national Heritage Open Days event.
Mostyn House School chapel, a Grade- II-listed building which was completed in 1897, will be open on Saturday, September 13 from 2 to 4.30pm.
A Second World War air raid shelter situated under the school playing field, known as “The Dive”, will also be open.
The school is off Station Road in Parkgate.
St Mary and St Helen Parish Church on High Street, Neston, will also be open from Thursday, September 11 to Sunday, September 14.
The church was built in 1874 but retained its medieval tower.
