Pair charged over raid on Birkenhead off-licence

TWO men appeared in court last week after a raid on a Birkenhead off-licence.

Alexanda Horncastle, 33, of Harrowby Road, Birkenhead and Phillip Marriott, 43, of Maybank Road, Birkenhead, are charged with robbery, possession of an imitation firearm and possession of an offensive weapon.

Both appeared before Wirral Magistrates last Thursday.

The charges relate to an incident on Tuesday night at Bargain Booze in Borough Road, Birkenhead.

A 14-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released on bail without charge.
