Lifeboat crew rescues injured horse rider on Hoylake beach

HOYLAKE Lifeboat crew helped in the rescue of a young woman who was injured after falling from her horse on the beach between the RNLI lifeboat station and Red Rocks on Hoylake beach on Sunday.

Led by coxswain Dave Whiteley, they boarded the recovery trailer and, on arrival, North West Air Ambulance was landing and paramedics had arrived. After the woman was stabilised, the lifeboat crew helped place her in the helicopter. The horse was returned to its stable.
