Three men trapped in Grange Mount flat fire

A FLAT in Grange Mount, Birkenhead, went up in flames last Tuesday, trapping three men inside.

A team of three fire crews were sent to the scene as the men called the emergency services at 12.30pm.

The third floor flat became engulfed in the blaze as fire ripped through the kitchen and lounge, causing smoke damage to other flats in the building.

Firemen fought for more than two hours to make the building safe.

All three men were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but were not taken to hospital.
