WIRRAL Council is spending £138,982 to prevent pupils at schools across the borough accessing “inappropriate” websites.

Due to changes in internet technology, schools’ filtering requirements, throughput capacity and the age of the equipment, the current solution installed in 2002, no longer meets service requirements. The three-year contract for a replacement system, was awarded to computer firm Ramesys.
