Police and Wirral Council join forces to tackle dangerous use of motorcycles and quad bikes

POLICE and Wirral Council’s Anti-Social Behaviour Team have joined forces to tackle the dangerous use of motorcycles and quad bikes across Wirral.

Police will be targeting anyone using motorcycles or quad bikes in an anti-social and illegal manner, including driving without insurance, causing criminal damage to public

property and not wearing a helmet.

Chief Inspector Bob Gittins said: “If any person is found committing any of these offences, their motorcycles will be seized and they may bearrested, face court and receive a significant fine.

“This inappropriate use of motorcycles is not only unlawful, but dangerous to the public and the rider.”
