Painting by Wirral Singh twins to be auctioned off for St John’s Hospice
THIS painting by internationally-acclaimed Wirral artists Amrit and Rabindra Singh is to be auctioned in aid of St John’s Hospice.
One of two paintings commissioned by Liverpool Culture Company, it marks the city winning the European Capital of Culture 2008.
Entitled Liverpool 800, the artist twins’ work has been on display in the Heritage Centre at St George’s Hall and on Friday it will be auctioned at St John’s Hospice Silver Ball to coincide with the charity’s 25th anniversary.
The event at Thornton Hall Hotel is hoping to raise much-needed funds to improve the hospice’s outpatient clinic and improve facilities in the day care unit.
