SHIRLEY Bassey sang that Diamonds are forever and it’s certainly the case that Age Concern Wirral, celebrating its 60th diamond anniversary this year, has been around for a long time serving the needs of local older people.
Having reached a significant milestone in its history, after providing 60 years of care and support to older people in the borough, Age Concern Wirral is celebrating by holding a Diamond Jubilee Gala Dinner at Birkenhead School marquee on Friday, July 11.
The evening will begin with canapés from 7.30pm, followed by a five-course dinner and entertainment will be provided by the Beat Beatles. There will also be table magicians and a charity auction and raffle.
Tickets, at £45 each, can be bought either individually or in tables of 10, and Age Concern Wirral hopes that individuals, couples and businesses will join them for an evening of celebration.
All proceeds from the Diamond Jubilee Gala Dinner will go towards the work of Age Concern Wirral.
