COMMONWEALTH politicians from across the world visited Wirral on Friday to meet with Wallasey MP Angela Eagle and explore regeneration projects.
Representatives from Papua New Guinea, Uganda, India and Lesotho joined the Nigerian speaker of the house and his colleague from the tiny Atlantic island of St Helena for a tour round her constituency.
The party was interested to see how local councillors and MPs work together in Britain and spent the afternoon in Wallasey, having arrived following a visit to Northern Ireland that ended on Thursday.
They met with mayor of Wirral Adrian Jones at the town hall before taking a trip to New Brighton to observe progress at the new Floral Pavilion.
The tour finished with a visit to Victoria Central Hospital, where they were said to be particularly impressed with the £14m investment currently ongoing at the site.
