Established in 2002 by Ian McGarvey FBDO, with the aim of providing a professional, friendly optometric service.

Being an independent optician we pride ourselves on offering a friendly personal service making customers feel comfortable during their consultation. A benefit of being independent allows us to provide a vast range of lenses, contact lenses and frames.

An excellent range of lenses are available to suit all budgets. We can make your lens in our very own lab, providing a fast excellent service. Market leading lenses such as Rodenstock are also very popular with our customers.

Cutting edge technology is available on site which can scan customers existing frames which will then order Rodenstock lenses direct from Germany. Quality lenses are then sent to the store within 7 days. This service is very limited in Wirral.

Designer frames from Prada, D&G Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu, Armani, Versace, Ray-Ban, Police and Ted Baker are available as well as none branded fashion frames which provide excellent quality and value for money. Many styles are available to ensure there is something for everyone.

As summer time is only around the corner we offer an excellent selection of sunglasses. Here at I.R. McGarvey Opticians we are one of a limited number of opticians stocking Wimbledon sunglasses as well as Oakley, the worlds number 1 sunglasses brand.

NHS patients are very welcome. If you have had your eyes tested else where please feel free to bring in your prescription and we can make your lenses in our lab.
