Wirral Letters: Shortpoints October 5

I AM writing to tell everyone about the wonderful Older People’s Crisis Team. I see them every day in my house and they are wonderful in the way they work. I am so very pleased to have them as friends with their good support. Best wishes to them.Read

Wirral Letters: Shortpoints Sept 28

THIS is a letter to a driver who knocked a Scout off his bicycle at noon on Saturday. You know who you are. You are the person who drove out of the bowling club car park on Pensby Road without due care for anyone using the pavement and hit my son. I know what you are not. You are not a caring person, a caring person would not knock a child over, call him a stupid boy and then allow him to cycle home on his own. I would like to thank the staff at Arrowe Park for the prompt care he was given.Read

PERHAPS in 1914 the poet Rupert Brooke was over confident when he claimed upon enlisting that his death would render “some corner of a foreign field for ever England”.

Wirral Letters: Shortpoints July 6

IT WOULD appear that Mr or Mrs R Wood does not ride a bike, otherwise he would know the hazard of riding a bike on the road these days, with the sunken drain covers, potholes, broken glass, which seems to have found its way onto the roadside ,and the number of cars parked on the roadsides forcing the cyclists out into the heavy traffic. It is not the majority of cyclists that make it dangerous for pedestrians and I am sure that most cyclists have a bell on their bikes.Read
