I WOULD like to say a very big thank you to the lady and the two able-bodied young men who stopped to help me with my misbehaving car in Moreton.
It was Tuesday, October 9 at about 9am at the traffic lights at the junction of Mill Lane and Saughall Road at the beginning of the Moreton stretch.
They helped push-start the car and I drove off, afraid to stop in case it wouldn’t start again.
This help was really appreciated and has restored my faith in human nature.

TODAY I received an e-mail from Wirral Council asking me to take part in their consultation on cuts.
I couldn’t quite believe my eyes – usually the only communication I get by e-mail are discount companies offering me cheap plumbing or telling me to claim money back now.
Incidentally, I had to fish out the communication from a file marked junk – coincidence?

THE Wirral Whipiteres Roller Derby team are collecting tokens for the Wish Campaign in the Wirral News’s sister paper the Liverpool Echo – we’d really appreciate it if anyone can help us.
They can be found every day until November 17th. We will cut them out of the paper and are happy to collect!
Our team was founded 18 months ago and proudly is 80 men and women strong.
However, a hindrance for our continued growth and success is our overheads, they are extremely high. We would like to make our sport more inclusive by being more affordable, less expensive venues would be a huge boost for us.
If anyone knows of any venues that may be suitable for us please get in touch, we need a minimum of 88ft (26.83m) by 53ft (16.15m) our skates don't damage floors and we have a number of references that would confirm this.
We'd also like to thank Wirral's Farmer's Market for their support in getting our members to Scotland for their next competition!
GO WHIPS!
