I WAS recently elected as vice-president of Heswall Football Club and was shocked to learn that they have no records of the history of the club which is over 120 years old.
The club would like to ask any of your readers who have had any connection with the club in the past, if they have any write-ups, photographs, memorabilia or stories they would be willing to lend to the club to be scanned or copied, and the originals returned.
Please email heswallfc@ gmail.com or plawton@ btinternet.com.

I WOULD just like to say a huge thank you to all involved in the Festival of Firsts.
It was a pleasure to experience such a variety of art, poetry, music, etc, on my doorstep. My personal high-light was the play Lena, per-formed by two excellent budding actors, Sarah Easdown and Becky Smith.
More of this please!

WALLASEY Town Hall hosted the Wirral Symphony Orchestra’s summer concert of operatic excerpts.
It was an excellent concert, and at the end there were screams and catcalls, and the capacity audience went wild. No problem of course, but a bit unexpected. Perhaps they had all been watching Popstar to Opera Star? It has to be said the orchestra was in fine form, and the soloists superb, so watch out Rolando and Catherine! The town hall could do with a clean-up though, and how about reopening the gallery before next year?

I WOULD like to give my sincere thanks to all the staff at both Arrowe Park Hospital and Broadgreen Cardiothoracic Hospital.
After a severe break to my leg, a minor heart attack and triple heart bypass, all in a couple of weeks, I was looked after by all the staff. The care was second to none and nothing was too much trouble for the dedicated staff, who in my opinion don’t get enough praise. It is with many thanks, to all of these wonderful people that I am now on the mend.
