THERE is only one word to describe the sell off of the former Birkenhead Town Hall/Wirral Museum (www.wirralnews.co.uk andWirral News, May 13).

WIRRAL Council, elected by you and me, must be elated that there are no local elections this year.

After the shambles of proposed library closures they now intend to sell off Birkenhead Town Hall.

Have they no sense of history, heritage or shame?
