SINCERE thanks to all those who gave so generously to us at The Ark following the Wirral News Christmas appeal.
We are overwhelmed by the generosity of your readers, who gave money, Christmas gifts for our residents, as well as groceries.
All have helped to make Christmas special for the 25 residents of our hostel and the 12 tenants of our intermediate houses, many of whom have said to me that they have enjoyed Christmas despite their circumstances.
Thank you, Wirral News readers, for helping us, for being supportive of our work with Wirral’s homeless, and enabling us to help the 200-plus people who come through our doors each year.
With your help, and the help of many others of our friends on the Wirral, we are able to offer to every one of those 200 people a route away from homelessness towards mainstream society.
Thank you Wirral News for your support, for drawing attention to the plight of homeless people at Christmas, and for enabling us to speak to your readers.
If anyone would like to know more about us, or become a volunteer with us, please visit www.wirralark.org.uk or call 649 0111.
