TRANMERE tested out a new away travel routine for the trip to Crawley Town this week.
Instead of the usual coach journey and an overnight hotel stay close to the venue, the Rovers squad made the journey on the day of the game by train.
They took a fast West Coast line train from Liverpool to London Euston, where they were collected by the team coach, which ferried them to the Broadfield Stadium.
Even though the Crawley game was called off, Tranmere were encouraged by the way the arrangements worked. They may follow a similar plan for the visit to Brentford on Tuesday, March 11.
