BRADFORD CITY manager Phil Parkinson is backing Chris Atkinson to give his side “something different” in midfield after joining the Bantams on loan from Huddersfield until the end of the season.
Atkinson, 21, spent the first half of the campaign on loan to Tranmere, where he made 28 first-team appearances and scored three goals.
Parkinson said: “Chris is a different type of midfield player to what we already have. He is someone who can get from box to box quickly and make good runs.”
Atkinson, an unused substitute in the drawn game against Preston in midweek, will be hoping to make his Bradford debut against Wolves today.
