TOM HATELEY has revealed how a glowing recommendation from former Motherwell teammate Henrik Ojamaa convinced him to chase a move to Poland.
The 24-year-old has been training with Slask Wroclaw this week following his release by Tranmere, with a view to earning a permanent deal.
He said: “I spoke to Henrik (Ojamaa) last week about it. I was good friends with him up at Motherwell. He did really well up there and won a move to Poland.
“He said nothing but good things about the football here and his recommendation was a big part of why I have come over. Fingers crossed that something can happen.”
Hateley joined Tranmere on a short term contract in September after ending his four-year spell at Motherwell last summer.
He made 10 senior appearances but did not figure in the team after November.
