JASON PRICE continues to demonstrate that he will travel wherever he has to for a game of football.
The former Tranmere striker from Aberdare in South Wales, whose career includes spells at more than a dozen clubs, is starting the new year with Northern Counties East League Division One club Shaw Lane Aquaforce in south Yorkshire.
Price, 36, began his career in 1994/95 by making 149 appearances for Swansea City and subsequently signed for Brentford, Tranmere, Hull City, Doncaster Rovers, Millwall, Carlisle, Barnet and Morecambe. He also had loan spells with Oldham, Bradford City, Walsall and Hereford, taking his career total with League clubs past 500 games.
Price’s time at Rovers, from November 2001 to July 2003 saw 54 games and 15 goals.
After leaving Morecambe, Price began an equally nomadic career in non-league football. He played for Guiseley AFC in the Conference North in 2012 before a switch to Welsh Premier side Prestatyn Town in August , scoring two goals in a Welsh Cup final win. Then he left to join Evo-Stik Premier League First Division Ossett Town and in September 2013, he joined Selby Town, then left in December.
