BEN GIBSON is playing his part in helping Middlesbrough make a move up the Championship over the holiday programme.
The 20-year-old, who spent most of last season on loan with Tranmere, figured in a run of three straight victories over Millwall, Burnley and Reading and a draw at Bolton which have taken Boro into mid-table.
Manager Ronnie Moore regards Gibson as one of his best loan signings at Prenton Park.
Now Gibson says he is benefiting from having experienced heads such as Jonathan Woodgate, Dean Whitehead and loanee Shay Given around him. He said: “I’m just trying to take every opportunity I can to show what I can do.”
