TOM HATELEY says he’s proud to be the third generation of his family to buy to play professional football.
He’s following in the footsteps of his father Mark Hateley, an England international striker during the 1980s and 1990s and his grandfather Tony Hateley, well travel centre forward who spent a season with Liverpool during the late 1960s.
He said: “I’m glad I’m not a striker myself so I don’t have the added pressure of scoring goals and being compared to them. But I love the fact that I can go and talk to them because they have been there and done it. Their experience is a positive thing for me.”
