WIRRAL Referees’ co-ordinator Jack Blakemore has pulled together another officials course which starts on Monday October 7 and run each Monday through to November 25.
The cost of the course is £120, as set by The FA.
The venue is Lairds Social Club, Procter Road, Wirral, CH42 1PY.
All sessions are 7pm to 9.30pm except for one evening which will be hosted on Tranmere Rovers’ indoor playing area for a practical session.
You will be given a free copy of the FA’s latest booklet on the Laws of the Game for season 2013-14 and there are lots of other helpful booklets which can be accessed via The FA’s website.
£20 of your fee is the current season’s registration as an active referee but before you can be officially registered you must referee six competitive 11 a-side matches.
A good quality referee’s kit costs around £45 to buy from the Referees’ Association through Norman Grundy, who will be in attendance at the event each week.
Jack will be helped by FA Licensed Referee Tutor, Joe Copeland (former Premier League Assistant Referee and current Football League Referee Assessor) together with local referees Norman Grundy and Brian Cooke.
The sessions are informal with the main aim to produce a decent referee out of all who attend.
