ASSISTANT manager John McMahon says Tranmere are encouraged by Mama Sidibie’s insistence that he can still play a part in the season. Rovers expressed fears last week that the 33-year-old target man would be unable to play again this season because of a groin injury.
However, Sidibe, who returned to Stoke for treatment, responded by saying he is hopeful about being fit and available by the coming weekend.
McMahon (right) said: “Mama is making the right noises. It is positive for us and showed he still has the determination and desire to come back and play. It can only bode well for us. When Sidibe plays he gives us another dimension and defensively he does well because he comes back and picks up.”
