Tranmere Rovers FC trio involved in car crash

THREE members of Tranmere’s table-topping squad were involved in a car accident this week.

Manager Ronnie Moore is hopeful midfielders Andy Robinson and Adam McGurk together with defender Michael Kay, who was driving, will be fit for tomorrow’s League One encounter with Carlisle United at Prenton Park.

Moore explained: “It was nothing major. A guy went through a red light and hit Michael Kay’s car.

“Andy Robinson and Adam McGurk were also in the car. They have a bit of whiplash and stiff backs and did not train for a couple of days. We will just have to wait and see how they are.”
