Rover Flow: Former Tranmere loanee Scott Wootton sent out again by Manchester United to Peterborough

MANCHESTER United continue to help along Scott Wootton’s career development by releasing the 21-year-old centre-back into loan spells with Football League clubs.

The process began with nine games for Tranmere during the 2010/11 season and continued this week when Birkenhead-born Wootton was dispatched to Championship strugglers Peterborough United, where Alex Ferguson’s son Darren is the manager.

Wootton has played just one senior game for United. He is starting his second loan spell with the Posh and also enjoyed a brief stay at Nottingham Forest.
