JAKE JERVIS reckoned his spectacular equaliser was the perfect answer to the Tranmere fans who have him stick during Portsmouth’s 2-2 draw at Prenton Park last weekend.
The young Birmingham City striker joined Pompey on loan soon after completing a month-long temporary assignment with Rovers and came back to sting his former team-mates.
Jervis said: “I hit the ball instinctively and it turned out to be quite a good goal. I was just delighted to help the team as we deserved a result.
“It meant quite a lot to me as I was getting a bit of stick on the sidelines, which might explain my eager celebration!”
Jervis added: “We were satisfied to come to Tranmere and take a point.”
