DONCASTER are hopeful about securing the services of former Tranmere striker Iain Hume until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old striker is on a loan from Preston that runs until January. Doncaster manager Dean Saunders says: “We are negotiating with Preston over Iain Hume but there’s no major rush because he is with us until January anyway. We are trying to get him signed up either until the end of the season or on a proper contract with us.”
Hulme, a Canadian international who was born in Edinburgh, entered the professional game via the youth ranks with Tranmere.
He stung Rovers fans on his last visit to Prenton Park, scoring Doncaster’s injury time winner in a 2-1 success in late October.
