JAKE JERVIS will find himself on the other side of the Prenton Park divide when Tranmere play host to League One strugglers Portsmouth next weekend.
The 21-year-old Birmingham City striker hopes to line up for the visitors after joining Pompey on loan within a few days of his month long stay with Rovers coming to an end.
Jervis made his debut from the bench as financially troubled Portsmouth halted a run of seven defeats with a 1-1 draw at Coventry last Saturday. They have no game this weekend after making an early exit from the FA Cup.
The move to the south coast is Jervis’s third loan assignment of the season, following spells at Carlisle and Tranmere. He said: “Its been difficult for me moving to different clubs on loan this season, but I’ve scored goals wherever I’ve been.
“Portsmouth didn’t need any selling to me, it’s huge. It would be better if we had another game straight away so we could keep the momentum going, but the break gives us time to work together.”
